The Ameripolitan Music Show
Chris Smith relocated to west London after presenting a country music radio show in Sussex for almost ten years. He had also previously worked at London’s Ritz 1035am at the start of the century.
He is a regular contributor to Country Music People magazine, organises the Country Music Interest Group for the high IQ society MENSA, and promotes the occasional show at Westfield House in South Ealing.
What is Ameripolitan – sounds as though it could be something to do with ice cream? Well, cool and tasty it undoubtedly is, because the tag ‘Ameripolitan’ encompasses a wide selection of the more traditional styles of real country music.
Tuesday evenings from 6 -8 Chris will present excellent examples of Outlaw country, Western Swing and the styles of music you would hear playing in any good Tennessee honky-tonk bar or Texas dancehall. There will be a generous sprinkling of classic country artists, the odd exclusive interview and the very best of British authentic country talent.
